Fort Worth Newcomers Garden Club is a member of the Garden Club Council of Fort Worth, which has 24 active member garden clubs. The Garden Club Council is a member of Texas Garden Clubs, Inc. They meet monthly with the mission of providing education and networking opportunities for those who love to garden, whether inside or outside.
Fort Worth Newcomers Garden Club meets the second Friday of each month at the Fort Worth Botanic Gardens in the Azalea Room. The mission of this club is to provide education on topics relating to gardening such as floral design, environment, insects and wildlife habitats, artistic crafts, etc. Awards that have been won include awards for the presidential report, charitable donations, and participation in the volunteer program for Fort Worth Botanic Garden events.

Sept 12 Bring three of your favorite tips or tools to share with the group as we get together and fellowship while ringing in our Garden Club New Year!
Oct 10 Field Trip to Mushroom Street Farms in Arlington, Texas, where we will tour inside their acre-long facility! Lunch afterwards, if you desire. Admission fee.
Nov 14 Beneficial Insects & Creating Insect Hotels led by Sheryl Whited, Tarrant County Master Gardener 2024 Educator of the Year. Program is free. You may build an Insect Hotel with a reservation and $5 fee for materials!
Dec 5* Christmas Potluck Luncheon
Jan 9 Garden/Houseplant Fairy Wands led by Lacey Camp. Come and create a whimsical fairy wand to stick in your plants! All materials provided by the club.
Feb 13 Bonsai Tree Gardening led by the Fort Worth Bonsai Society. Program is free. You may choose to purchase your own bonsai plant, take home and even groom your own bonsai at the meeting with members from the Bonsai Society for only $20!
Mar 13 Keyhole Gardening led by Sian Rees, Tarrant County Master Gardener. Tired of getting on your knees to garden, keyhole gardening may be just for you!
Apr 3* Tandy Hills Natural Area, Fort Worth’s last prairie, led by Dan Young, President of Friends of Tandy Hills. Ever wonder about all that green space you see running alongside I-35 downtown? Come learn about this beautiful prairie land that is vital to our wildlife and ecosystem!
May 8 Garden Tour at the home of Susan Turner. Susan has transformed her front and back yards into a virtual Eden using native plants and by using container plants throughout her space! You will love her garden!
